“The fact is that given the challenges we face, education doesn’t need to be reformed – it needs to be transformed. The key to this transformation is not to standardize education but to personalise it, to build achievements on discovering the individual talents of each child, to put students in an environment where they want to learn and where they can naturally discover their true passions.” Sir Ken Robinson

Founded by Dr Morgan Phillips, Kate Andrews and Jessie Teggin, We Are the Teachers is a small collective of like-minded individuals who have collaborated to host a screening of the pivotal documentary film ‘We Are the People’. The event has been very popular, so we are already looking to run another event/screening. We have launched this blog as an informal platform where we can continue the discussions after the real-world events.

We believe strongly that our current education system is flawed, and needs to embrace the individual passions of every single child. How do we achieve this? How do we become more creative teachers? We are here to find out. We invite educationalists from far and wide to join us.

“The most powerful method of improving education is to invest in the improvement of teaching and the status of great teachers.” Sir Ken Robinson
